The 2026 China Xi’an Biopharmaceutical and Technical Equipment Exhibition will be held at the Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 15 to 17, 2026. Hartek Technology has confirmed its participation (Booth No. 124) and will showcase the HTGD-11 twin-screw hot-melt extruder along with supporting laboratory equipment. The HTGD-11 is a micro twin-screw extrusion system developed by Hartek Technology specifically for hot-melt extrusion processes; it is suitable for experimental applications such as pharmaceutical carrier formulation development, blending of pharmaceutical-grade polymers, modification of protein-based materials, and the development of edible films and packaging materials.
Twin screw hot-melt extruder machine
In the laboratory, the cycle of “changing materials, observing, and cleaning” lies at the heart of formulation development. For users in universities, research institutes, and labs, the biggest pain points often stem not from insufficient production capacity, but from the inability to visualize internal processes during blending, modification, and granulation, as well as issues like cross-contamination caused by incomplete cleaning of the screw and barrel when switching formulations, colors, or materials. Furthermore, running large-scale equipment for small-batch experiments results in a waste of materials, time, and electricity. The HTGD-11 is a compact extrusion system specifically designed to address these experimental challenges.

Hartek was the first domestic manufacturer to introduce twin-screw extruders featuring an openable barrel design. Once the barrel is opened, the screws, material condition, and mixing quality are immediately visible; this allows for thorough cleaning, ensuring no cross-contamination during material or formula changes. For universities and research institutes, this design enables experiments that are observable, verifiable, and reproducible, resulting in more reliable data and reduced material waste. Unstable data and poor repeatability are the primary concerns with laboratory equipment; Hartek addresses this by utilizing international brands for electrical and control systems, ensuring stable quality, precise control, and reproducible experimental results. For researchers publishing papers, conducting studies, or applying for projects, equipment stability translates to research efficiency, while reliable data guarantees successful outcomes.
